Passionate Knitting Enthusiast

Passion Project

I began knitting and crocheting at the age of ten. As a teenager, I founded an initiative called "KNIT FOR JUSTICE," a knitting club that empowered individuals to create warm items for the homeless. Knitting has always held a special place in my heart; it's my go-to for relaxation after a long day. I'd love to share my knitting journey with you and explain why you might want to embark on one of your own.

My Journey Through Knitting

Knitting has always been a deeply personal and memorable activity for me. My journey in knitting began when I was just ten years old, under the patient guidance of my grandma. Coming from a Pakistani background, I would often sit beside her, watching her skilled hands work wonders with yarn and needles. The rhythmic motion of her knitting needles and the soft clicking sound became an integral part of my childhood. I was captivated not only by the craft itself but also by the rich history it had within my family.

Current Project

I've also begun exploring crocheting as I work on the Persian Tile Blanket, a design by Jane Crowfoot, one of my favorite crochet artists. With 25 years of experience as a textile designer, Jane Crowfoot is known for her innovative crochet projects pushing design and technique boundaries.
